Academic Profile

Musician, archaeologist & curator of cultural events celebrating MENA heritage with a focus on Iran. Roya Arab researches the impact of socio-political and economic factors on ownership, interpretation, preservation & dissemination of cultural heritage. Current interests include the ancient connections between Iran and Zanzibar and how portrayals of music and musicians in Iranian films reflect, deflect and inflect reality.
