Sara Zanotta

Academic Profile

Sara Zanotta is a PhD candidate (ABD) in Asian History at the University of Pavia, Italy. Her research project investigates the transborder connections of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution and constitution-building process, with a focus the role of Iranian communities abroad in connecting Iran with other ongoing constitutional developments across Asia. Previously, she has studied at the University of Milan, Sciences Po Lille and the Central European University and she is currently visiting PhD student at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the University of Bamberg. Furthermore, she is a teaching assistant for the course History and Politics of North Africa and the Middle East at the University of Milan and deputy chief of the editorial staff of the journal "Nuovi Autoritarismi e Democrazie".
