Academic Profile
Dr. Ara is professor and founding director of the Persian studies minor program in the College of Liberal & Creative Arts at San Francisco State University. She teaches Persian language, Iranian cultures and religions in addition to the world religions, including Iranian religious traditions and minority religions.
