Academic Profile
Dr. Laleh Shahideh is the Associate Dean for Student Academic Services, College of Arts and Sciences, University of San Francisco in San Francisco, California in the United States.
In 1991, Dr. Shahideh joined the Student Academic Services Department of the College of Arts and Sciences, where she has been serving the largest student population at USF. Over the past two decades, Dean Shahideh has conducted research and worked extensively on a wide range of serious academic advising cases involving graduate and undergraduate students. In addition to being the Academic Dean of Students, Dr. Shahideh is also a USF faculty member, offering graduate-level courses in the School of Education on topics ranging from narrative, identity, and diversity to the anthropology of education.
Dr. Shahideh received her Ed.D. in Organization and Leadership with an emphasis in International Studies, an M.A. in Public Health Administration from the University of San Francisco, and a B.A. in Architectural Design from the Academia di Belle Arti in Rome. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Germany, where she did a comparison between the educational systems of the European Union and the United States, and she remains an active member of the Fulbright Association.
