Academic Profile
Reza is a PhD Candidate at American University based in Washington D.C. studying the modern Middle East, modern Iran, and critical theory. His research focuses on Iran’s political parties and their role amid the country’s evolving state-society relations since 1906. His master’s thesis explores the potential for political reconciliation in Bahrain. Reza has also written for a number of publications such as Foreign Policy, the Guardian, and Jadaliyya.
